Chat. To me, it’s pretty much the best form of electronic communication. E-mail, message boards, and even Twitter doesn’t really have the conversation feedback you get with a good ol’ fashion chat. Toksta (even though the name is lameness to the 10th degreeness) is an IM chat app for your site. It’s free. It works, and it supports video.
It’s pretty straight forward to make Toksta “go”. Visit their site, immediately start customizing what you’d like to see, then proceed to fill in some fomr fields, name, blog, blah, blah. They openly admit to supporting PHP, Python, Ruby & JSP out of the gate, but there’s an option to input “whatever” if you’re not using one of those.
I’m debating integrating it or not to Sociosophy, perhaps I will. What do you think?
