We’re San Diegans, here at Socisophy, in fact – we’re part of a rare crew of those actually born in this fine city. As a result, we don’t take too kindly to politics that doesn’t understand what being a San Diegan is all about, reading over this post by Chris Cantore, he gets what San Diegans are, and more so, how important beach culture is for a large part of society.

So when we read Cantore’s post at San Diego Magazine about their removal of fire pits from San Diego beaches… We not only related, but damn it – we were a tad outraged at the City of San Diego… Even though we don’t get out much, let alone to the beach.

No, this post doesn’t have to deal with technology.

No, this post isn’t about the web or Internet.

It’s about what we do when we step away from the computer, when and if it ever happens. Read it.
