thisMoment
Honest to goodness, this might be one of the best user interfaces I’ve seen in a LONG time for presenting something as simple as an online Journal.Sure, Flickr’s great for lifesourcing photos and videos, Twitter’s great for micro-blogging, Brightkite is great for geotracking… thisMoment? Well, you just have to see it for yourself, to be honest, but I’m gonna try my best to give you the jist:
First off, they’ve done one thing right, right out of the gate – cute factor. They has it. The punches keep on coming though. Check out their demo video. Awesomesauce. They tap into moments in life, and show how their interface can help you host them on thisMoment. Not only that, but they integrate sites that can help provide relevance, such as YouTube for videos. The example they chose was November 4th, 2008… which we all know is the day that I went out with @downtownrob for a few drinks in Downtown San Diego… Oh, and Barrack became our next President.
Each moment is displayed in a very nice, changeable user interface, comments are allowed if chosen, it keeps them in a bubbly, nice time line, you can add people you know and select them as “present” in that moment of time… I’m not doing it any justice, I think it’s slick. You should have a peak.
They’re in private beta right now, but request a code. You want to get on this one, if you have a life anyway.
