Klok
Now that I’ve covered two Twitter-esque clients from AIR, I’m going to cover something actually useful toward being productive with your time in terms of billable hours. If you’re in project management, any kind of contract/time-based freelance work, or if your job holds you over a clock on fire for 8 to 10 hours a day while they whip you from the edge of your windowless cubicle in that hell of a 9 to 5 you call a job; Klok is your friend.
So, what’s it do? It keeps track of time. Pretty straight forward right? Yea… but what’s it also do?
- Create projects with a single button
- Create sub-projects for those projects with yet, another single click
- Manage and organize projects with drag and drop
- Color-code projects AND -
- Apply value of projects based on rate of XX (money)
- Create a timesheet based on time spent in said projects
- Download a report of your entire life spent using Klok
- Check out time entries
- Add properties to each project
- Archive projects
- Trash projects
- Review archives and Trash
Sounds like a lot right? It is!! But the interface does all this with clean and simple awesome. Yes, this application is immensely handy, super awesome, and immeasurably useful.
Like I said, if you’re working on things that require billable hours? This is your new bitc… toy.
