nomee

nomeeOk, how much do you love Social Media? Anyone?… Anyone?

Chances are if you’re reading this blog, you love Social Media as much as the guy (me) that’s writing it. In fact, nomee tells me I have an account on pretty much every single one of the 101 social networks and applications they monitor. WHAT?! 101!!?!?

Yes. 101.

Let’s be fair though, that’s only because I sign up for every site I review. Seriously. Unless, of course they’re still in beta, which I then knock on their “invite only” door until someone opens up, so I can jump on the early adopter bandwagon. Actually, I usually only have to say “I’m from Sociosophy” and they totally know that if they let me in, they score like 9000+ Internets.

Ok, how much do you love AIR?… That’s probably tired, I’ll just get to it.

nomee, it’s an AIR application for managing your social networks, but not the sites – your contacts. Imagine that. I spent about 10 minutes setting up mine, spammed an email out to a few friends to see how it would be accepted by the not-so-compulsive Social Medites… and we’ll see how it goes.

Powered by Adobe AIR, nomee simplifies online networking by organizing your contacts and interests all in one place – on your desktop. So you can focus directly on your people, not their sites. And your people can better know you.  – nomee

Overall, the idea seems great, I mean – I’m part of an ungodly amount of social networks, and have a TON of contacts that I love to interact with. Getting them all to join one app would be a hell of a chore that I don’t see happening unless nomee goes mainstream, but that takes Oprah and Ashton Kutcher now-a-days… Fat chance? I believe so, but you never know.
