My Name is E

mynameiseAmazing what a little mobile compliance will do to a seemingly simple service. My Name is E is an online “this is what I log into” business card creator, of sorts. The site itself is built pretty slick, giving you a bunch of great options and services to select.

You can upload a custom background image, create multiple cards, make one “public” (the one that’s attached to your username in the URL), and the real fun happens when you launch their mobile or iPhone version.

The services you can add:

  • Twitter
  • Brightkite
  • Facebook
  • Skype
  • Vimeo
  • Flickr
  • So on and so forth…

Once you’ve created your account, cruise over to the mobile web version of the site. Log in with your credentials and ask “hey, what’s your username?” to the person you want to connect with. Like MAGIC, you’re wisked away to a place that includes unicorns, bacon wrapped chocolate covered espresso beans, and… a neatly formatted card of social networks and a profile photo of whoever you’re trying to connect with.

Pretty awesome, if you ask me. If they had SMS capabilities, or even an app for major smart phone platforms for quicker access, it’d be all that much better (and more successful – Guys at mynameise.com? If you’re watching your URL on Google and come across this post, you’ll only succeed with full mobile integration. *ProTip)

Anyway, get out there and make a profile. Don’t forget to come back here and post the link to your public card in the comments. I’m all about link puking each others’ social networks to one another.

Unicorns and bacon-wrapped chocolate covered espresso beans may or may not come with everyone’s accounts. I saw them, but that’s because I’m amped on caffeine, more than likely.
