StumbleUpon – Su.pr

suprThe extending market of URL shortening is growing with Twitter’s user base. Recenlty the whole Digg thing with their bar and all that noise is pretty neat, Adjix (which I loath) and even Facebook are doing their own thing now… So why not include StumbleUpon into this bucket of “we want your traffic, your traffic wants us?” apps.

Makes sense to me. Apparently it makes sense to them as well, hence Su.pr.

Features are standard with URL shorteners: Metrics, short URLS, a neat chart thing. The one thing you get with StumbleUpon’s URL shortening system is – exposure to their 8,000,000 +/- users with every link you shorten. Pretty neat, huh? Now if SU users didn’t have such horrible ADD, it would actually sustain some sort of value of adding new interseted users to your site/blog, etc… but that’s another post.
