Every now and then I pick sites back to back that are vaguely similar to one another, and then I’m torn to which ones more awesome than the other… Damn it!
Bubbles is an application that keeps you connected to your social networks (or anywhere, actually) via taskbar icons and/or desktop icons. I used it a bit for Facebook and Flickr, it seemed pretty straight forward…
Here’s my favorite part:
Remember how dragging a photo into Picasa imports that photo into an album? Think for a second what happens when you drag that photo into a browser… right, the browser shows you that photo. Bubbles allows web-sites to accept files that are dropped on them, so our example Flickr extension for Bubbles makes uploading new photos as easy as dragging them into the Flickr Bubble! - BubbleHQ :: Features
I’d like to see things like this is newer technologies like an AIR-based browser that has tabbing & notifications that are grouped by a single application, but, in all honesty - this is still pretty darned handy, if I do say so myself.
